The Drama, Kristoffer Borgli’s splashy, twisty wedding saga starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson, is guaranteed to be divisive. Naturally, we were first in line to see it, and left with a whole lot of questions.

- Why would smoking heroin disqualify you from being a wedding DJ?
- Is it funny that Sydney Lemmon, who played CBK’s sister in Love Story, is the heroin-smoking wedding DJ?
- Why are all four of these people at the dinner table psychos?
- Why did Rachel not face more scrutiny for locking her neighbour in that closet?
- Did anyone want to hear more about Charlie’s cyber-bullying?
- If your partner asked you about the worst thing you ever did, would you actually tell the truth?

- Why did Rachel’s cousin Sam saying “It’s just from Uniqlo” of her puffer make me laugh so much?
- Why is Charlie attempting to restrain a woman in a wheelchair?
- Did we need to see Emma’s ear bleeding quite so much?
- Is anyone else sometimes struggling to work out what’s really happening and what’s imagined?
- Was anyone else terrified that Emma was going to shoot up her own wedding?
- Was anyone else incredibly grateful that Emma didn’t shoot up her wedding?
- Did we need to see so much of Emma at 15?
- Did we need to see Charlie posing with a 15-year-old Emma holding a gun?
- Was that, like, kind of too far?
- Did we need to see Charlie in a kind-of-dating-montage with a 15-year-old Emma?
- Ah, okay, so she planned a school shooting because she liked the aesthetic?

- Is this film kind of portraying Emma as an angry Black woman who yells at cars, yells at their DJ, and slaps Charlie in bed without, like, fully engaging with that idea?
- But really, why did she slap Charlie three times?
- The film seems pretty disinterested in actually exploring why she was an almost school shooter?
- Is this film kind of glamorizing and trivializing gun violence?
- Did there need to be so many shots of Zendaya holding a gun and looking hot?
- Was anyone else worried that Charlie was going to start masturbating to that women with guns book?
- Am I able to find this kind of funny because, in the UK, we’re a little more distanced from this topic than people in the US?
- Kristoffer Borgli is Norwegian. Would an American director ever have made a film like this?
