I’m a jeans girl at heart, just like Kendall Jenner.
This is probably obvious from the amount of times I write about jeans for Vogue. Sometimes, in fact, I think I rely on jeans too much—shouldn’t I branch out a bit? Opt for something a bit more tailored or swishy? But then I see Jenner in a pair of rigid blue straight-leg jeans and a mini Almost Famous jacket for a date night with friends at culty Los Angeles hangout Sushi Park and I am reminded that, no, jeans can look polished too. I needn’t curb my jeans addiction just yet, and they’re just fine for non-casual occasions.

She’s not the only one repping rigid blue straight-legs for spring 2026. Harry Styles recently wore a similar pair to the Grammys (bring back jeans on red carpets!), meanwhile Alexa Chung was pictured in Paris at the Dior couture spring 2026 show wearing a pair of rigid blue cigarette jeans that I’ve been trying to hunt down ever since. Even Heated Rivalry’s Connor Storrie is in on the trend, having recently been snapped with co-star François Arnaud in straight, selvedge jeans and a ’70s-style leather aviator jacket.
They’re a Vogue HQ favourite, too. My colleague Charlotte Rutter is often spotted in the office in her rigid straight-legs, paired with a crisp white shirt and loafers. “I like that the rigid ones look a bit more done up and put together,” she says, adding: “It’s a nice mid-way point between comfortable and smart, without having to do a tailored trouser!”
Indeed, I may not be going for $400 sushi in West Hollywood with Kendall Jenner at this very moment, but that doesn’t mean I can’t dress like it.
