Reem Acra is dreaming bigger than ever. Fall 2026 marks one of her largest collections to date, with 40 opulent, all-out looks. Why the celebratory mood? Well, for starters, she’s just returned from Dubai where she was honored by the Dubai Mall Festival of Fashion as their “international designer of the year.” With that, she got to showcase her looks on the catwalk, which she hasn’t done since her last Bridal Fashion Week show in 2018.
The retail turmoil and global tumult aside, Acra believes that people will always be in need of evening wear and fashionable clothes. This season she innovated with faux fur. Outerwear is always the last thing on a woman’s mind when she’s getting ready for a big night out; to take away that pressure, Acra has added removable faux fur attachments to the neckline and sleeves of dresses for that extra touch of warmth. When a woman walks into the party, she can quickly detach the additions and stash them in her handbag or even leave them on for a fashion statement.
This very glamorous designer has never quite explored “basics”; for fall she made Acra first foray into the territory with simple long dresses in solid colors featuring almost no embellishments. The feather attachments at the neck and sleeves of a simple deep v-necked gown? They’re removable, making it a delightful two-for-one.
